Grey's Anatomy Season Finale!

OK don't read this if you haven't seen it yet...or you will be as mad as I was after actually having seen it!

So I did research for like the last half an hour (I'm going to sleep now I promise) and this is what I've gathered:

  • Addison, George and Burke are ALL leaving the show and that's why they wrote their story lines the way they did. Although apparently Burke was fired, but Addison has a clause in her contract where she can come back if her new spin off "Private Practice" isn't successful, and George has a "come back whenever you want to" deal.

  • The girl at the end is supposedly Meredith's half-sister, who was the exact same girl that McDreamy met at the bar the night before. So I guess the irony there is that McDreamy meets Meredith and her half-sister in the exact same way, although I really can't see how Meredith has a half-sister who also happens to be a surgeon at Seattle Grace, it's too much coincidence.

  • So I guess Callie got Chief Resident, but who was Chief Resident before? And if McDreamy rejected the Chief of Surgery position, does that mean they will give it to Bailey?

  • People every where seem to be REALLY MAD about the episode (I frankly have to agree with them)!

And don't even get me started on why they freaking killed Santos in Ugly Betty, that was just WRONG!!!! And Henry getting on the plane to leave. Pero por lo menos that can be "undone". Santos getting killed CANNOT be undone and it was pointless to do that!

That's all I have I am going to sleep before the feeling of having a marble up my right nostril gets any worse.

Gigi's Baby Shower

Even though I had barely done any planning with the exception of sending out the Evite , I did manage to pull off a very nice baby shower for Gigi. We did it at Essencha Tea House on Madison because we were too many to do it at the Bonbonerie . I got some decorations at Factory Card Outlet and recycled some other ones from Ida's baby shower last September. We had a great showing and the food at Essencha Tea House was really great. I had to bring Gabi with me because Jose had a soccer game but she did OK, even though she was a little tired because she skipped her afternoon nap. In any case, if anyone has a baby or wedding shower to plan, or just wants to go to eat at a nice place, I highly recommend Essencha Tea House . Oh, and the best part is that they serve breakfast all day, which as any friend of mine can bear witness to, is a HUGE plus for me. Marketing Jobs

In my current job I see a lot of people undergoing job transitions and looking to expand their networks in order to improve their chances of future job placement.  Today I met a very interesting woman who had a very similar profile to mine, minus the international experience.  She wanted to talk to me given my similar profile in Marketing and see how I saw the job market these days. She seemed to think that it's harder and harder to find jobs in Marketing in Peru these days. One of the reasons? It seems that because of the economic downturn and the uncertainty about the election results (sounds just like the US, I know) companies are cutting back on Marketing budgets. Sounds familiar right? DON'T. CUT. BACK. ON. MARKETING. BUDGETS. FOLKS.  Maybe there's some fat that you can trim here and there, maybe you change your marketing vehicles in favor of more cost efficient ones like Digital (and I'm not saying you should), maybe you focus more on Trade Marketing or Price
